My passion for photography is fueled by lighting, composition, and mood of the image. In my wedding work, I highlight the romance of marriage: it’s up to you – my clients and I meet for a day to tell me what photographs are important to you. Naturally, I tell a story using photographs instead of words; starting with the smallest detail in your accessories to the departure at the end of the reception.
In portraiture, I capture the natural personality of the people in the photograph whether it’s a baby’s first step or a six generation family setting. Skin tone and perspective are important to me; I create a natural “catch-light” and not an over emphasized digital manipulation of eye colors. I used background suppression to separate the subject from the background so that people in the photographs are the focal point and the natural surroundings blend to hence the remaining parts of the photograph.
With digital photography being the preferred medium for most photography sessions today, there’s no need to produce printed proof books and processing cost associated with digital photography. My prices are set based on the needs of the job; not by skill level or financial needs; they are consistent regardless if you're living pay check to pay check or extremely blessed with wealth. As a 20-year navy veteran with over 30-years experience in the industry; I am committed to providing affordable photographs for all occasion at a reasonable price.
A Photoshop guru I am not. I use editing software to touch-up light fixes like a scratches or pimples etc.; my images are 100-percent natural, meaning as shot. l use a combination of poses and lighting to create a magical image that will last a life-time in regards my portrait and wedding photography. When comes to photographing models and seniors I use a combination of highlights and shadows in show the shape and form of the subject; emphasizing the dominate features and minimizing the less desirable areas, if any.
All my images are actual customers. I will not under any circumstances borrow someone that looks good in pictures to create images for display in order to get more business as a photographer. I consider that cheating nor will I use equipment that I am unfamiliar with on any assignment; that’s unprofessional.
Brides come in all shapes and sizes; my mission is to get you the very best photograph possible and create memorable moments you can cherish for years to come whether you’re a size 6 or size 20.
